Before Baby

The most powerful time to do this work is before your baby gets here.

Why before?

Most parenting support shows up after something feels hard. After the sleepless nights have already arrived. After the overwhelm has set in. After you've already reacted in a way you didn't like and don't know how to change.

Re//Parent believes in a different timeline.

Pregnancy is one of the most open, receptive windows of your life. Your identity is already shifting. Your nervous system is already paying attention. You are already becoming someone's parent, and that process deserves real support, not just a birth plan and a stack of books.

This is the work you do before you need it, so when you need it, you already have something to stand on.

Think of it like premarital counseling, but for becoming a parent.

What This Program Is

Re//Parent: Before Baby is a 12-week coaching program that begins in your second trimester and continues with you through the fourth trimester, including weekly in-home visits after your baby arrives.

It is not a birth class. It is not a sleep training course. It is not a list of dos and don'ts.

It is a deep, personal experience that puts you at the center, because the most important thing you can do for your baby is understand yourself.

Prenatal

We meet weekly, virtually,  beginning in your second trimester. Over 12 weeks, we explore:

  • How you were parented, and what you want to carry forward, and what you want to leave behind

  • Your nervous system: what triggers you, what regulates you, and what your body does under stress

  • Your vision for the kind of parent you want to be

  • Your relationship with your own needs, rest, and self-worth

  • The attachment science that will shape your baby's earliest sense of safety

  • What to expect in the fourth trimester, emotionally, physically, relationally

Postpartum

Once your baby is here, I come to you. Weekly in-home visits for the fourth trimester, the first 4 weeks of your baby's life.

  • I meet your baby

  • I check on you, not just as a new parent, but as a whole person

  • We work through what's coming up in real time: feeding, sleep, the identity shift, the relationship changes, the overwhelm

  • I answer questions without judgment

  • I help you trust yourself when everything feels uncertain

This is not postpartum nursing care. This is postpartum presence, someone who already knows you, sitting beside you while you find your footing.

For couples and co-parents.

Bringing a baby into a partnership changes everything. The way you were each parented, the expectations you didn't know you had, the moments where you find yourselves completely out of sync, all of it surfaces in those early months.

Re//Parent offers couples and co-parents the option to do this work together or separately, or both.

Together

Sessions designed for both of you, exploring your different histories, your shared vision, and how to show up as a team for your baby.

Separately

Each parent does their own inner work individually, at a discounted rate for the second parent. Sometimes the most important conversations start inside before they happen together.

This program is for you if:

  • You're expecting and you want to prepare intentionally, not just for birth, but for everything after

  • You want to understand your own patterns before they meet your baby's needs

  • You sense that the real preparation happens on the inside, not in a book

  • You want someone in your corner who already knows you when your baby arrives

  • You and your partner want to get on the same page before your family grows

  • You grew up in a home that was hard, and you are determined to do it differently

  • You grew up in a home that felt good, and you want to understand it well enough to give your child the same

You do not need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to begin.

How it works.

  • We start with a free 15-minute discovery call, no pressure, no commitment

  • If it feels like the right fit, we schedule your first session

  • Sessions during pregnancy are virtual, available to expecting parents anywhere

  • In-home postpartum visits are available in the Seattle area

  • Flexible scheduling, this program is designed to meet you where you are

  • Payment plans are available

A note from Julie.

I know what it feels like to become a mother and not have the support you need. To be in the most transformative season of your life and feel completely alone in it. To not even know how to ask for help, or that asking was allowed.

That's why I built this. So you don't have to find your way through it alone.

I have spent my entire adult life in rooms with new parents and babies. As a nanny for multiple Seattle families, mostly first-time parents, I watched what happened in those early months up close. The wonder of it. The terror of it. The way parents would lean on me, not just for childcare, but for steadiness. Is this normal? What do I do? Am I doing this right?

I didn't have a name for what I was doing then. I do now.

I am completing my parent coaching certification through the Jai Institute for Parenting, and I begin a master's program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University in fall 2026. This work, being with families from the very beginning, is the work I was always moving toward.

I need more babies in my life. And I think some of those babies' parents need me.
